Mechanics

What Looter's Instincts does

Looter's Instincts begins the lower Survival looting path. Its effect supports finding and evaluating loot opportunities; it does not change the underlying map spawn tables.

Build fit

Who should take it

It fits scavenging, early-progression and key-room builds that spend a meaningful share of each raid searching containers rather than moving directly to combat.

Tradeoff

What the points do not solve

A combat-focused run may not create enough search interactions to justify a large investment. The points also delay crafting and carry-support options on the other Survival branches.

Picking order

When to allocate it

Finish the Agile Croucher prerequisite, then take ranks in proportion to how heavily the build depends on container routes. Continue toward Silent Scavenger only when reduced search noise matches the playstyle.
